Types of Shifts a. Swing shift means authorized work schedules regularly assigned in which four (4) hours or more worked are between the hours of 5:00 p.m. and 12:00 midnight of each workday. b. Night shift means authorized work schedules regularly assigned in which fours (4) hours or more worked are between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 7:00 a.m. of each workday. c. Day shift means any authorized work schedules assigned except swing or night shifts as defined in this section.
