Umbrella/Excess CGL Insurance. The policy must include the following: • $5,000,000 umbrella or excess liability for any project with a Contract value of $25,000,000 or less. • Combined total for Commercial General Liability and Excess Liability limits of $25,000,000 will be required for projects with a Contract value in excess of $25,000,000. • The umbrella or excess policy shall follow form over the CONSULTANT’s primary general liability coverage. • The umbrella or excess policy shall not contain any restrictions or exclusions beyond what is contained in the primary policy. • The umbrella or excess policy shall contain a clause stating that it takes effect (drops down) in the event the primary limits are impaired or exhausted.
