Common use of Union Assessments and Deductions Clause in Contracts

Union Assessments and Deductions. A member of the bargaining unit, and only such a member may present written authorization, using the form provided by the Union, to the Board to deduct union dues, uniform assessments, and TIGER/COPE deduction(s) from his salary. Each authorization shall be effective until the earlier of three occurrences: a. Thirty (30) days after written notice of revocation of said authorization by the employee to the Board and Union. b. Employee's termination of employment. c. Transfer of employee out of the bargaining unit.
