Common use of Union Dues and Initiation Fees Clause in Contracts

Union Dues and Initiation Fees. 6.01 The AFSCME Council 25 AFL-CIO Local Union 1993 will protect and save harmless the Employer for any and all claims, demands, suits and other forms of liability by reason of action taken or not taken by the Employer for the purpose of complying with Article 5 of this Agreement. 6.02 If the current laws regarding union security (Article 4) and Union dues and Initiation Fees (Article 6) are changed, the Employer and the Union will enter into negotiations on the two articles.
