Common use of Union Obligation Clause in Contracts

Union Obligation. In the event of a strike, work stoppage, slowdown, picketing, observance of a picket line, or other restriction of work in any form whether on the basis of individual choice or collective employee conduct, the Union will immediately, upon notification, attempt to secure an immediate orderly return to work. The obligation and the obligations set forth in Section 18.1 above shall not be affected or limited by the subject matter involved in the dispute giving rise to stoppage or by whether such subject matter is or is not subject to the grievance provision of the Agreement.
