Union Rights and Representation. A. The Board specifically recognizes the right of the Union to organize and operate under the Michigan Public Employees Relations Act and all other applicable laws and regulations. The rights granted to Employees hereinafter shall be deemed to be in addition to those provided elsewhere. B. Employees shall be entitled to full rights of citizenship, and no religious or lawful political activities of any Employee, or the lack thereof, shall be grounds for any discipline or discrimination with respect to the employment of such Employee. C. Provisions of this Agreement and the wages, terms, hours, and conditions of employment shall be applied without regard to race, creed, religion, color, national origin, age, handicap, sex or marital status or membership in, or association with, the activities of any Employee organization. Subject to the conditions set forth in administrative guidelines, the Union and its members shall be allowed, upon request, to use school building facilities for meeting during the hours that the buildings are covered by custodial staff. Administratively approved secretarial assistance will be provided to officers of the Association i.e. typing and printing of Union materials, at cost. Use of District office equipment (i.e. computers and copy machine) may be made available by the Administration consistent with its policies when it does not interfere with or interrupt such use by teachers or students. The Union shall have the exclusive right to post notices of activities and matters of Union concern in each work area in designated areas. The Union may use the District mail service and the District email. E.
