United Professional Conferences. 1. At the beginning of every school year, the Association shall be credited with eight (8) days off with pay, providing the Association pays for the substitute replacement, for the purpose of attending regional, state or national workshops, conferences and conventions which shall be used by the VESPA President and/or one (1) designee per event. 2. The Association agrees to notify the Board as soon as possible, but in no case less than five (5) business days prior to the date for intended use of said leave. 3. The Association President may use a portion of his/her normal work day to meet with the Administration on Association business.
