Unpaid LOA. A scheduled unpaid absence from a bargaining unit position shall be considered a “leave of absence” for purposes of return rights following the absence, even though the nurse may continue to work in his or her non-bargaining unit position. In this circumstance, the nurse’s bargaining unit position will only be available if the absence is for 12 weeks or less, as more specifically detailed in Section 11.6 of the Agreement. For absences of 12 weeks of more, Article 11.7 shall apply.
