Common use of Up to Five Years Clause in Contracts

Up to Five Years. Shall be approved by the Director of Human Resources or designee: i. To backfill a regular position, when: a) An employee is absent because of an extended leave of absence for a medical reason; b) An employee is absent because of military service; or c) An employee is absent because of a special duty or other assignment. ii. To staff or backfill staff on a clearly defined grant-funded, capital improvement, or information systems technology project.
