Common use of Usage of FLSA Earned Compensatory Time-Off Clause in Contracts

Usage of FLSA Earned Compensatory Time-Off. A. An employee shall not be denied a timely request to carry over or take such time off. Requests for time off will be approved based on the needs of the service, as determined by Management, to ensure that such requests do not unduly disrupt departmental operations. B. Effective with the implementation of this MOU, with prior approval of Management, new accumulated compensatory time not used during the calendar year in which it is earned may be carried over for up to one (1) year, not to exceed 200 hours of new accumulated compensatory time.
