Weekend Shift Premium Sample Clauses
The Weekend Shift Premium clause establishes additional compensation for employees who work shifts scheduled during weekends. Typically, this clause specifies the rate or percentage increase applied to the standard wage for hours worked on Saturdays and Sundays, and may outline eligibility criteria or exceptions. Its core practical function is to incentivize employees to cover less desirable weekend shifts and to fairly compensate them for working outside of standard weekday hours.
Weekend Shift Premium. Employees required to work their hours on a weekend between midnight Saturday (0:00 hours Saturday), and midnight Monday (0:00 hours Monday), shall be paid a weekend shift premium of forty-five (45¢) cents per hour for all such hours or portion of an hour worked. Weekend shift premium shall not be added to an employee’s hourly rate of pay for the purpose of computing overtime.
Weekend Shift Premium. An employee shall be paid a weekend premium of fifty cents ($0.50) per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday. Weekend premium will not form part of the employee’s straight time hourly rate.
Weekend Shift Premium. A shift differential for all Saturday and/or Sunday work shall be paid at the rate of five (5) percent of the employee’s hourly wage rate for all hours worked on a Saturday and Sunday.
Weekend Shift Premium. An employee shall be paid a weekend premium of two dollars and five cents ($2.05) per hour, effective two pay periods following date of ratification, for all hours worked between 2400 hours Friday and 2400 hours Sunday.

Weekend Shift Premium. Effective April 1, 2022, an employee shall be paid a weekend pre- mium of $2.90 per hour for each hour worked between 2300 hours Friday and 2300 hours Sunday. Effective April 1, 2023, the weekend premium will be increased to $3.50. This Provision is not applicable to certain Employers: see Article 25.07(H).
