Use of Vacation for Illness Absence. Whenever an employee uses all of his or her allowable sick leave, including Five-Month Law leave, if applicable, further absence will be charged against his or her accrued vacation. If approved in advance by the campus Vice President of Administration or District Administrative Officer, the employee may take loss of pay for such absences rather than vacation.
