Common use of Utility Investigations Clause in Contracts

Utility Investigations. At the DB Contractor’s request, the Owner shall assist the DB Contractor in locating any Utilities (including appurtenances) which are owned and/or operated by Owner and may be impacted by the Project. Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, in order to help assure that neither the adjusted Owner Utilities nor existing, unadjusted utilities owned or operated by the Owner are damaged during construction of the Project, the Owner shall mark in the field the location of all such utilities horizontally on the ground in advance of Project construction in the immediate area of such utilities.
