Vacated/Newly-Created/Open Routes. Vacated, newly-created and open routes/positions shall be posted at each location for three (3) work days and bargaining unit Employees within the classification shall be permitted to bid on such routes, which shall be awarded by seniority. Biddable work that is not bid shall remain posted on the extended board and may be bid at any time by Employees and assumed on the next run. Bargaining unit Employees may bid vacated, newly-created or open routes, in addition to any bid which is a result of a significant change as outlined in Section A of this Article - Change in Work Schedule/Hours or any route that has been on the extended board. Successful bidders will be notified at the close of the bid and assume the awarded route(s) on the next run after notification.
