Vacation and Statutory Day. On the day that an employee is on approved vacation or professional development leave and a statutory holiday occurs, no vacation or professional development leave shall be charged for that day. If, during any particular year, New Year’s day falls on a Saturday or a Sunday, then NVIT shall be closed on the following Monday, and the following Monday shall be deemed to be the statutory holiday.
