VACATION PAY IN LIEU OF VACATION. Any employee who has not taken vacation which has been earned under the provisions of this Article, and is off duty because of sickness for a period of thirty (30) days or more, may, during the period of illness, take vacation pay in lieu of vacation. Payment in lieu of vacation shall be at the rate of the last service performed in their regular classification. However, if during this time, the employee draws disability benefits, the employee will not be eligible for vacation pay in lieu of vacation.
