VACATIONS AND VACATION PAY. 9.01 Employees shall receive vacation pay in accordance with the provisions outline below: (as of July 1st of the current year) VACATION PAY a. 0 - 3 years 4% of annual gross earnings b. Upon completion of 3 years 5% c. Upon completion of 4 years 6% d. Upon completion of 10 years 8% 9.02 The Employer will endeavour to grant vacations at the times requested, in the vacation seasons or periods, considering business requirements. 9.03 A vacation list will be posted in the office on May 1st of each year for employees to indicate the time they wish to have. The final list will be posted by June 1st of each year. Any subsequent vacation time will be granted on the basis of work scheduling requirements. All employees shall be granted a minimum of one (1) week during the summer vacation period. Employees wishing two (2) weeks or more may do so by arrangement with the Employer prior to the posting of the vacation schedule. Any conflict will be settled on the basis of seniority. 9.04 When vacations are requested by more employees than can be reasonably scheduled to be away at any one time and still carry on efficient company operations, then the choice of those employees permitted to take their vacation will be, insofar as possible, based on seniority. a. The Employer shall include in each pay period the appropriate amount of vacation pay in the gross pay for all employees. The employee's cheques shall show the gross pay, and all regular deductions shall be made from the gross amount. After all other deductions have been made, the Employer shall deduct the employee's total vacation pay for the pay period. The vacation pay for all employees will be remitted monthly by the Employer to the Vacation Pay Trust Fund of the Employee's Trust Fund, together with an itemized list of the employees for whom remittances are made and the amount of vacation pay remitted for each. b. Remittances to the Vacation Pay Trust Fund shall be made promptly by the fifteenth of each month for the credited amounts in the previous month, in order to satisfy the legal requirements pertaining to the disbursement of vacation pay. c. Vacation Pay shall be paid in accordance with the rules of the Vacation Pay Trust Fund. Employees shall receive a copy of this information.

VACATIONS AND VACATION PAY. Full-Time Temporary Employees shall be subject to the Vacation and Vacation Pay provisions specified in this Agreement on the same basis as Full-Time Regular Employees.
VACATIONS AND VACATION PAY. 10.01 All employees who are covered under this Agreement shall receive vacation pay, inclusive of public holiday pay, as a percent of the employee's total earnings exclusive of the Employer's contribution to the Union's Pension, Health Benefit Plan, Education and Assistance Fund and Industry Fund. Income tax shall be deducted weekly from the employee's earnings increased by the amount of vacation pay. a. Probationary employees (as outlined in Article 6.04) and employees with less than three (3) years of service shall receive eight percent (8%) vacation pay. b. Employees with three (3) or more years of service shall receive ten percent (10%) vacation pay. c. Employees with eight (8) or more years of service shall receive twelve percent (12%) vacation pay. d. Employees who are rehired following an absence due to involuntary temporary layoff, trade school, illness and/or injury shall be considered as employed for the purposes of this Article. 10.02 The parties confirm that such manner of paying public holiday pay meets the Employer’s obligations under the Employment Standards Act, 2000. 10.03 Vacation periods shall be arranged by mutual agreement between the Employer and each employee. Employees shall be granted their vacation periods as requested insofar as it is practicable and in accordance with seniority. 10.04 The Employer agrees to remit the Vacation Pay of each employee to the Union's Employee Trust Fund by no later than the fifteenth of the following month in which such vacation pay is earned. Vacation Pay shall be remitted together with, and in the same manner as union dues, as described at Article 7. 10.05 In accordance with the Employment Standards Act, the Union and its Vacation Pay Trust Fund, is obligated to take any steps which may be available to it either in law or in equity or in bankruptcy as may be necessary or desirable to effect collection from delinquent Employers. All costs incurred in the collection of said payment will be charged to such defaulting Employer.

VACATIONS AND VACATION PAY. Each employee shall be entitled to 120 hours of vacation annually with full pay. Upon the completion of two years of service in the aggregate, each employee shall be entitled to 128 hours vacation annually with full pay. Upon the completion of ten years of service in the aggregate, each employee shall be entitled to 192 hours vacation annually with full pay. Upon completion of 30 years of service in the aggregate, each employee shall be entitled to 200 hours vacation annually with full pay. On January 1 of each year, vacation time accrued during the previous year shall be credited to each employee.

A minimum of one thousand dollars ($1,000.00) of vacation pay will be held by the company and paid out to the employee at the time of the employees main scheduled vacation. 9.02 Employees, after completing ten (10) years of service, will be entitled to the following: 15 years - 4 weeks vacation with pay equal to eight percent (8%) of gross annual earnings. 9.03 The Employer will grant vacations at the times requested in the vacation seasons or period. The employees are entitled to take two (2) weeks of their annual vacation at their discretion; any additional time may have to be taken during the slack season. In order to prevent undue interference with the normal business requirements, it is understood and agreed that employees shall not take vacations simultaneously.

VACATIONS AND VACATION PAY. 12.01 Employees shall be entitled to an amount equal to six percent (6%) of the gross earnings of the employee in vacation pay. 12.02 Vacation pay shall be paid to employees on each pay cheque. 12.03 Employees shall be entitled to three (3) weeks of unpaid vacation time per year. Vacation requests will be granted, subject to operational requirements, and will not be unreasonably denied.
VACATIONS AND VACATION PAY. 25.01 Annual vacations with pay shall be based on total service with the Employer. For the purpose of calculating vacation entitlement, the vacation year commences May 1st and ends April 30th. (a) An Employee who has completed less than twelve (12) months of service as of May 1st shall be granted one (1) working day for each full month of service from the first of any month, up to a maximum of ten (10) working days. (b) A new Employee shall not take any vacation during his or her first six (6) months of employment. During the second six (6) months of employment, a new Employee shall be entitled to take vacation not to exceed five (5) working days which, if taken, shall be deducted from the Employee’s entitlement upon reaching the first anniversary date of his or her employment. Notwithstanding anything, these days may be taken one (1) or more at a time. The scheduling of such days of vacation shall be subject to mutual agreement between the Employee and the Employer. 25.03 An employee with one (1) or more years of service as of May 1st, shall be granted ten (10) working days vacation. 25.04 An employee with two (2) or more years of service as of May 1st, shall be granted fifteen (15) working days vacation. 25.05 An employee with eight (8) or more years of service as of May 1st, shall be granted twenty (20) working days vacation. 25.06 An employee with sixteen (16) or more years of service as of May 1st, shall be granted twenty-five (25) days vacation.

Income tax shall be deducted weekly from the employee's earnings increased by the amount of vacation pay. 9.02 The Employer agrees to remit the Vacation Pay of each employee as agreed upon in this agreement and in accordance with the regulation set by the Employment Standards Branch, Ministry of Labour, monthly, but not later than the fifteenth (15th) of the following month to the Union using a separate cheque marked "Vacation Pay", accompanied by a list on which all deductions and contributions as stipulated throughout this agreement are recorded. 9.03 In accordance with the agreement with the Employment Standards Branch, Ministry of Labour, the Board of Trustees of the Union's Vacation Pay Trust Fund is obligated to take any steps which may be available to them either in law or in equity or in bankruptcy as may be necessary or desirable to effect collection when the Employer is delinquent. All costs incurred in the collection of said payment will be charged to the defaulting Employer. 9.04 The Employer will endeavour to grant vacations at the times requested, in the vacation season or periods, considering business requirements. Vacation requests must be approved to confirm acceptance of holiday requests and will be returned giving as much notice as possible. 9.05 All probationary employees shall receive four percent (4%) vacation pay.
