Common use of Value Engineering Evaluations Clause in Contracts

Value Engineering Evaluations. The Project Team will routinely identify and evaluate using value engineering principles any alternate systems, approaches, design changes that have the potential to reduce Project costs while still delivering a quality and functional product. If the Project Team agrees, the CMARE in cooperation with the Design Professional will perform a cost/benefit analysis of the alternatives and submit such in writing to the Project Team. The Project Team will decide which alternatives will be incorporated into the Project. The Design Professional will have full responsibility for the incorporation of the alternatives into the Drawings and Specifications. The CMARE will include the cost of the alternatives into the cost estimate and any GMP Proposals.
