Vehicle Safety. Because of the necessity and importance of safe motor vehicle conditions in the work of the police service, no motor vehicle shall be used where there is an outstanding vehicle repair slip for an item unsafe for the immediate use, signed by any command officer, until serviced by a mechanic.
