Vehicle Specifications, Maintenance, and Appearance. All Vehicles shall be properly registered 811 with the Department of Motor Vehicles of the State of California, shall be properly insured, shall 812 be of a type approved by the County, shall be kept clean and in good repair, and shall be 813 continuously maintained in a watertight condition. Vehicles used to Collect or Transport Solid 814 Waste shall be kept covered at all times except when such material is actually being loaded or 815 unloaded, or when the Vehicles are moving along a Collection route in the course of Collection. All 816 Vehicles shall carry a broom, shovel, and operable fire extinguisher. Solid Waste Collection 817 Vehicles shall be washed at least once every seven (7) days and cleaned and painted as required 818 to maintain a clean appearance. All Vehicles must be made available for inspection upon two (2) 819 Business Days’ notice by the County Contract Manager.
