Common use of Verbal Assault Leave Clause in Contracts

Verbal Assault Leave. 1. A member not physically assaulted but who is emotionally distraught due to a threat of physical injury that is direct, specific and plausible will receive up to two (2) days off without loss of pay, as long as the member reports the threat to the police. The police report must be attached to the Employee Report of Injury Form, Appendix C. 2. Members shall not be charged verbal assault leave when school is not in session or when the member is not required to report to work.
