Common use of Victim of Violence Leave Clause in Contracts

Victim of Violence Leave. 24.01 Notwithstanding the provisions of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Act, employees who may be absent from their duties as the result of illness or injury arising from violence related to their employment shall incur no loss of sick leave, salary, benefits or seniority on a short term basis. This short term leave shall not exceed three (3) working days.
