Legal Leave. 1The University shall grant leave of absence with pay to a member of faculty who is called to serve as a juror or a witness in a court of law in a matter in which he/she is not a party or an accused.

Legal Leave. The Board shall grant leave of absence with pay to a faculty member who is called to serve as a juror, a witness, or, in the case of an action resulting from the performance of their contractual obligations to the University, as either a plaintiff or defendant, in a court of law. Any reimbursement for such duty, less out of pocket expenses, shall be remitted forthwith to the University cashier.
Legal Leave a. A teacher called for jury duty shall receive full compensation, but shall return to the corporation any pay he/she received for the jury duty. A teacher is allowed to keep any mileage money he/she may receive for serving on a jury. b. Court leave with pay shall be granted to teachers under subpoena for the time necessary to make appearance(s) in any court proceedings, provided the teacher is not a party in litigation whose interests are adverse to M.S.D. of Xxxxx Township or officials of M.S.D. Xxxxx Township. All monies received by a teacher for witness fees, equal to the amount being paid to the teacher by the Corporation, shall be turned over to the School Corporation. Travel expenses allowed by the court may be retained by the teacher.
Legal Leave. In the event it is necessary for a teacher to make appearance(s) in any judicial proceeding resulting from activities relating to the teacher’s employment with the school corporation, and during his or her regular assigned duty time, the teacher shall receive full compensation without loss of accumulated leave days. However, this section shall not apply in the event the teacher is a plaintiff or in such proceedings to enforce IC 20-29.
Legal Leave. The school employer will only grant legal leave to a teacher subpoenaed to serve jury duty, testify in court as a witness in a case in which the teacher is not a party to the suit, or testify in court in any suit arising out of the performance of the duties for, or employment with, the school corporation. The leave shall be for the number of days mandated to perform such obligation. Compensation for such legal leave shall be calculated as the difference between the teacher’s contracted daily rate and the pay received for such mandated duty.

Legal Leave. A teacher called for jury duty shall receive full compensation for the required period of absence from assigned duty. A teacher called to appear before any judicial or administrative tribunal- related to his/her teaching assignment shall receive full compensation for the required period of absence from assigned duty for such appearance. The teacher shall not be charged personal leave time for such absence(s). If the teacher earns a per diem allowance for jury duty on a legal leave day, the teacher shall forward to the School Corporation the per diem less the amount allowed by the court for expense.
Legal Leave. A teacher called for jury duty or subpoenaed to appear for a school related matter will be paid the teacher’s regular daily salary. Any payment (not including mileage, meals, and lodging) received shall be remitted to Warsaw Community Schools. It is further understood, that in the event a teacher is excused after reporting for jury or witness duty, that he/she will make every reasonable attempt to return to school for such assignments as are needed with the school corporation.
