Village Authority. The Project is within an area designated by the Village as a Tax Increment Redevelopment Project Area as authorized by Section 11-74-4.1 et seq. of the Illinois Municipal Code. (65 ILCS 5/11-74.4 l et seq.) Section 11-74.4-4 authorizes municipalities to contract with private agencies or persons to carry out a Redevelopment Plan.
Village Authority. The Project is within an area designated by the Village as a Tax Increment Redevelopment Project Area as authorized by Section 11-74-4.1 et seq. of the Illinois Municipal Code. (65 ILCS 5/11-74.4 l et seq.) Section 11-74.4-4 authorizes municipalities to contract with private agencies or persons to carry out a Redevelopment Plan. Section 8-1-2.5 of the Illinois Municipal Code (65 ILCS 5/8-1-2.5) authorizes municipalities to appropriate and expend funds for economic development purposes, including, without limitation, making grants to any other governmental entity or commercial enterprise deemed necessary or desirable for the promotion of economic development within the municipality.
Village Authority. The Village is empowered to accomplish all or any part of the following with regard to the parking of motor vehicles and traffic on the Subject Property pursuant to this Agreement:
(a) To enforce any provision of the Municipal Code of the Village of Alsip, any applicable ordinance of the Village, or state statute with regard to the operation of a motor vehicle;
(b) To enforce any provision of the Municipal Code of the Village of Alsip, any applicable ordinance of the Village, or state statute, with regard to the operation of any go-cart, motorized bicycle, motorized scooter, mini bike, three xxxxxxx, four xxxxxxx, golf cart, or other unlicensed vehicle; and
(c) To enact additional reasonable rules and regulations with respect to traffic and parking in a parking area as local conditions may require for the safety and convenience of the public or users of the parking area.
Village Authority. To induce redevelopment pursuant to the Tax Increment Allocation Redevelopment Act (the “TIF Act”), the Village President and Board of Trustees of the Village have, after giving all notices required by law and conducting all public hearings required by law, duly established TIF 6 Lincoln Highway/Governors Highway Redevelopment Project Area (the “Redevelopment Project Area”), have adopted a “Redevelopment Plan”(as hereinafter defined) therefor and have created a special tax allocation fund (the “Special Tax Allocation Fund”) therefor.
