Virtual Switches. A Hyper-V virtual switch is a software-based layer-2 Ethernet network switch. The switch connects virtual machines to virtual and physical networks. Prerequisites: Foglight for Hyper-V roles‌ Foglight™ Management Server relies on roles to control user access. Each user can have one or more roles. The roles granted to a user determine the set of actions that the user can perform. The Management Server includes a set of built-in roles that control access to dashboards and reports included with the Management Server. The following roles are included with Foglight for Hyper-V to control access to the Hyper-V dashboards and reports. Your Foglight for Hyper-V users must have the appropriate roles granted to them in order to access related browser interface components:

Virtual Switches. ‌ This work is based on emulating a network on a single computer, which creates the need for vitual switches in order to setup the topology shown in figure 2.2 in section 2.3. Open vSwitch (OVS)1 is a production-level open-source implementation of a virtual switch, which supports the OpenFlow protocol version 1.0. Another open-source virtual switch that supports OpenFlow version 1.0 to 1.3 is the CPqD2 switch. However CPqD is a user-space implementation of a virtual switch, which significantly increases the load on the CPU, compared to the OVS which is a kernel-space implementation. As the network scenario is emulated on a single machine, sharing of the computational resources among all nodes and links, is expected to have at least some effect on the end results. Therefore the OVS has been selected as the switch that will be used during the emulations.

  • Local Switching 4.1.1 BellSouth shall provide non-discriminatory access to local circuit switching capability, and local tandem switching capability, on an unbundled basis, except as set forth below in Section 4.1.

For pediatric vision hardware services, a network provider is a provider that has entered into a contract with EyeMed, our vision care service manager.

  • Workstation Encryption Supplier will require hard disk encryption of at least 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES) on all workstations and/or laptops used by Personnel where such Personnel are accessing or processing Accenture Data.

  • Tandem Switching 4.5.1 The Tandem Switching capability Network Element is defined as: (i) trunk-connect facilities, which include, but are not limited to, the connection between trunk termination at a cross-connect panel and switch trunk card; (ii) the basic switch trunk function of connecting trunks to trunks; and (iii) the functions that are centralized in the Tandem Switches (as distinguished from separate end office switches), including but not limited to call recording, the routing of calls to operator services and signaling conversion features. 4.5.2 Where <<customer_short_name>> utilizes portions of the BellSouth network in originating or terminating traffic, the Tandem Switching rates are applied in call scenarios where the Tandem Switching Network Element has been utilized. Because switch recordings cannot accurately indicate on a per call basis when the Tandem Switching Network Element has been utilized for an interoffice call originating from a UNE port and terminating to a BellSouth, Independent Company or Facility-Based CLEC office, BellSouth has developed, based upon call studies, a melded rate that takes into account the average percentage of calls that utilize Tandem Switching in these scenarios. BellSouth shall apply the melded Tandem Switching rate for every call in these scenarios. BellSouth shall utilize the melded Tandem Switching Rate until BellSouth has the capability to measure actual Tandem Switch usage in each call scenario specifically mentioned above, at which point the rate for the actual Tandem Switch usage shall apply. The UNE Local Call Flows set forth on BellSouth's website, as amended from time to time and incorporated herein by this reference, illustrate when the full or melded Tandem Switching rates apply for specific scenarios.

  • Internet Connection Certain Solutions may require an active and stable connection to the Internet in order to function. It is therefore your responsibility to ensure that you have at all times an active and stable Internet connection.

  • Radios The Contractor or its employees shall not use any of the two-way radios or special telecommunications equipment under any circumstances. No exceptions will be made to this rule. Violation is grounds for immediate termination of this Contract, as well as punitive action.

  • Links If The Services are made available through the Internet, the Financial Institution’s website may provide links to other websites, including those of Third Parties who may also provide services to You. You acknowledge that all those other websites and Third Party services are independent from the Financial Institution’s and may be subject to separate agreements that govern their use. The Financial Institution and Central 1 have no liability for those other websites or their contents or the use of Third Party services.
