Wage Employee Acting in a Salaried Position. A w age employee assigned by the Employer to temporarily perform the full duties of a salaried position having a higher salary range than the employee' s normal hourly w age shall be paid acting pay, provided the assignment is for a period in excess of five (5) continuous w orking days. All acting assignments in Plan 2 at pay grade 14 and below lasting less than six (6) months w ill first be offered by seniority to qualified employee(s) reporting to the manager/supervisor w here the assignment occurs. In such cases, the employee shall be paid acting pay from the first (1st) day of such assignment. (It is recognized that " duties" refers to the normal duties of the position at the time of acting).
