Common use of Watchman Clause in Contracts

Watchman. The Contractor shall make his own security arrangements to guard the Site and premises at all times, at his own expense. The security arrangements shall be adequate to maintain strict control on the movement of material and labour. The Contractor shall extend the security arrangements to guard the material stored and/or fixed on the premises by the Sub-Contractors.

It is clarified that this security arrangement to be made by the Contractor shall be subject to and under the control of the overall security arrangement of the Refinery which is controlled by the Owner.
