Weapons and Dangerous Devices. Certificated employees are authorized to take reasonable and prudent measures to protect themselves or others within district guidelines and policies. Employees will not be expected or required to provide emergency treatment in situations involving weapons until/unless the scene has been secured by police security personnel. Possession or use of weapons, explosives, illegal knives, or other items capable of producing bodily harm is prohibited. Except in extenuating circumstances, the penalty will be emergency expulsion.
