Goal Setting Conference. The teacher may request a student growth goal for Components SG 3.1, SG 6.1, and SG 8.1. (The goal for SG 6.1 and SG 8.1 may be the same goal.)

Goal Setting Conference. This conference is held so that the evaluator and teacher can discuss teacher goals and/or objectives, methods and materials to be used during instruction.
Goal Setting Conference. Prior to the first formal observation and using the last year’s evaluation, if available, and the current year’s goal setting form, the evaluator and employee will have a collaborative discussion regarding this year’s goals. The employee will choose where they want to show growth or deepen proficiency. The evaluator has final approval of these goals.
Goal Setting Conference a. Prior to the Goal Setting Conference the teacher will: i. Complete the Self-Assessment on the Continuum of Teaching Practice (Appendix). (Self-Assessment is not turned in to evaluator.) ii. Complete the Student Data Reflection Form (Appendix) if adequate data is available (i.e., teacher librarians, resource specialists, counselors, etc., may not have data). iii. Review identified areas for continuing growth from previous evaluation. b. At the goal setting conference, the evaluator and teacher shall: i. Discuss the teacher's reflection on Self-assessment on the Continuum of Teaching Practice (Appendix).
Goal Setting Conference. After the previous evaluation cycle is completed, but prior to October 15, each teacher not rated Accomplished or Skilled the previous year will meet with the assigned evaluator at a goal setting conference to develop/ review the plan for that year. This conference may occur during prior year’s summative evaluation conference.
Goal Setting Conference. The evaluator will review the teacher’s 13 goals in advance of a goal setting conference and schedule a 14 conference date with the teacher. The evaluator and teacher will meet 15 to collaboratively discuss and the evaluator will provide feedback on 16 the teacher’s written goals. Goal Setting Conference. At the goal setting conference, the evaluator and teacher shall: i. Discuss the teacher's reflection on Self-assessment on the Continuum of Teaching Practice (Appendix D-3). ii. Discuss how the teacher will use results from the Student Data Analysis and Reflection Form (Appendix D-7). iii. Discuss identified areas for continuing growth from previous evaluation. iv. With the evaluator, the teacher will identify one C/BSTP’s, in addition to Standard 5, to be the focus of the evaluation. (Appendix D-2 and D-3) The teacher would be evaluated on all elements contained within the chosen C/BSTP. During the goal setting conference, the teacher may choose to change the C/BSTP based upon the conversation with the evaluator. The teacher and evaluator will fill out the Goal Setting Conference Agreement Form (Appendix D-4) v. Evaluator and teacher will mutually decide on the type and scope of evidence used to show that goals have been adequately addressed. Evidence may include: Sample lesson/unit plans, Student work/ projects, Class rules and procedures, Discipline records, Professional Learning Communities, Membership in professional organizations, Formal and informal mentoring, Participation on committees, Technology used, Use of student learning teams, Materials to promote critical thinking and problem solving, Collaborative lesson planning, Video tapes of lessons/students performances, Audiotapes of lessons/student performances, Photographs, Use of professional literature to inform instruction, Writing professional articles, Data/feedback collected by teacher, Data/feedback collected by coach/administrator, Artifacts from professional conference, workshops, and reading, Records of student progress (grade book, charts, graphs, tables) on curricular goals. vi. Every effort should be made to reach agreement on goals and model for evaluation, but in the event that the teacher and evaluator cannot agree upon goals under subsesction iv. above, the teacher shall have the final responsibility for choosing the goals. If the teacher and evaluator cannot agree upon goals, and the teacher’s previous evaluation included a “Needs Improvement”, “Unsatisfactory” or the teacher has been pulled back into the evaluation cycle, is on a Remediation Plan or PAR, the evaluator shall have the final responsibility for choosing goals.

Goal Setting Conference. Each teacher shall combine his/her self-assessment with the district and/or building initiatives and select one or two components as the goal(s) goals for the year. In addition, the teacher shall determine a student growth goal for Components SG 3.1, SG 6.1, and SG 8.1. (The goal for SG 6.1 and SG 8.1 may be the same goal.) The Goal Setting Conference document (Form B) shall be completed by the teacher on or before October 1 and sent to the evaluator prior to the goal setting conference. The evaluator shall review the Goal Setting Conference document (Form B) in advance of the conference and a conference date shall be determined.
