Wellness/Fitness Program. Fitness assessments and in-house programs will take place in coordination with a Peer Fitness Trainer. Each Peer Fitness Trainer will be certified, as specified in the Fitness Component of the Memorandum of Agreement-Fire/Rescue Wellness Initiative of 2000. Each Peer Fitness Trainer shall be compensated at one and one-half times his or her regular rate of pay or an equivalent amount of Compensatory Leave if appropriate for off-duty time, as approved in advance by the Chief of the Division of Wellness, Safety, and Training, or his or her designee, spent maintaining his or her certification.
