Banking Day a day (except Saturday, Sunday or official holidays defined by the Legislation for commercial banks), when commercial banks in Georgia are open and conduct their activity.
Acts of God, etc FIIOC and FSC shall not be liable for delays or errors occurring by reason of circumstances beyond its control, including but not limited to acts of civil or military authority, national emergencies, work stoppages, fire, flood, catastrophe, acts of God, insurrection, war, riot, or failure of communication equipment of common carriers or power supply. In the event of equipment breakdowns beyond its control, FIIOC and FSC, as applicable, shall, at no additional expense to any Trust, take reasonable steps to minimize service interruptions and mitigate their effects but shall have no liability with respect thereto. FIIOC and FSC shall enter into and shall maintain in effect with appropriate parties one or more agreements making reasonable provision for emergency use of electronic data processing equipment.
Quarantine Leave Quarantine leave without loss of pay shall be granted to a Long Term Occasional Teacher for a period of quarantine when declared by the Medical Officer of Health or designate.
Act of God Days Act of God" days beyond the allowance by Michigan Law and the Department of Education regulations will be made up by the students and assistants at the end of the school year or at other times as specified by the calendar. Assistants will only receive compensation for the "Act of God" days allowed. When a scheduled day of schoolwork is delayed, association members shall report as near as possible to their regular starting times. Assistants will receive their full day's pay when the school day is shortened due to weather or mechanical problems.
Moratorium legislation To the fullest extent permitted by law, the provisions of all statutes whether existing now or in the future operating directly or indirectly: (a) (To affect obligations): to lessen or otherwise to vary or affect in favour of any party any obligation under this Agreement; or (b) (To affect rights): to delay or otherwise prevent or prejudicially affect the exercise of any rights or remedies conferred on a party under this Agreement, are hereby expressly waived, negatived and excluded.
Saturday and Sunday Work (a) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Friday and midnight Saturday, the employee will be paid a loading of 50% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period. (b) Where an employee is rostered to work ordinary hours between midnight Saturday and midnight Sunday, all employees excluding home care employees will be paid a loading of 75% of their ordinary rate of pay for the hours worked during this period. (c) Casual employees will be paid in accordance with Clauses 35(a) and 35(b). The rates prescribed in Clauses 35(a) and 35(b) will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the casual loading prescribed in Clause 12.5(b). (d) These extra rates will be in substitution for and not cumulative upon the shift penalties prescribed at Clause 38 Shiftwork.
Saturday Work A day worker required to work overtime on a Saturday shall be afforded at least four hours work or paid for four hours at the rate of time and one half for the first three hours and double time thereafter, except where the overtime is continuous with overtime commenced on the previous day.

Calculation of Time For the purposes of this Agreement, “days” refers to calendar days unless otherwise specified.
