Common use of While on medical leave Clause in Contracts

While on medical leave. the employee shall cease to accumulate sick leave. The Employer will pay its full share of hospitalization premiums for a period not to exceed one year while the employee is on medical leave. Beyond one year, the hospitalization may be continued by the employee if the employee pays the premium directly to the group insurer; such arrangements are the responsibility of the employee. While on leave the employee will be responsible for payment of his/her share of the monthly premium that would have normally been deducted from his/her pay for health care coverage.
