Common use of Withholding Services Clause in Contracts

Withholding Services. A player who withholds playing services called for by a Player Contract for more than twenty-one (21) days during the last Season covered by her Player Contract or for any period of time that includes the last game played by such player’s Team during the last Season covered by her Player Contract shall be deemed not to have “complet[ed] her Player Contract by rendering the playing services called for thereunder.” Accordingly, such a player shall not be a Free Agent and shall not be entitled to negotiate or sign a Player Contract with any Team unless and until the Team for which the player last played expressly agrees otherwise.
