Without Salary Continuation. Absence for professional improvement may be granted by the Board upon the recommendation of the Superintendent. The teacher seeking leave shall be assured of consideration for any unfilled position for which he/she holds certification and for which he/she is qualified at the termination of the leave. Leaves, for reasons other than professional improvement or sick leave of absence, may be granted at the discretion of the Board of Education. All such leaves shall terminate 5 calendar days before the first working day of the school year following the granting of the leave, with the exception of leaves granted between March 1 and the first working day of the next school year which shall terminate five calendar days before the first working day of the subsequent school year. As in the case of the leave granted for professional improvement, consideration shall be given by the administration to return the teacher to his/her former position or an equivalent one.

  • Benefit Continuation You and your then eligible dependents shall continue to be covered by and participate in the group health and dental care plans (collectively, “Health Plans”) of the Company (at the Company’s cost) in which you participated, or were eligible to participate, immediately prior to the Date of Termination through the end of the Benefit Continuation Period; provided, however, that any medical or dental welfare benefit otherwise receivable by you hereunder shall be reduced to the extent that you become covered under a group health or dental care plan providing comparable medical and health benefits. You shall be eligible to participate in such Health Plans on terms that are at least as favorable as those in effect immediately prior to the Date of Termination. However, in the event that the terms of the Company’s Health Plans do not permit you to participate in those plans (other than pursuant to an election under the Consolidated Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1985 (“COBRA”)), in lieu of your and your eligible dependent’s coverage and participation under the Company’s Health Plans, the Company shall pay to you within fifteen (15) calendar days after the effective date of the Waiver and Release a lump sum equal to two (2) times your monthly COBRA premium amount for the number of months remaining in the Benefit Continuation Period. In addition, for the purposes of coverage under COBRA, your COBRA event date will be the date of loss of coverage described in this paragraph above.

  • Benefits Continuation (a) For leaves taken pursuant to Clauses 26.01, 26.02, and 26.07, the Employer shall maintain coverage for medical, extended health, dental, group life and long term disability, and shall pay the Employer's share of these premiums.

  • COBRA or State Continuation Coverage If a Member whose coverage is provided under COBRA or under a right of continuation provided by state or other federal law is covered under another plan, the plan covering the Member as an employee, member, Subscriber or retiree or covering the Member as a Dependent of an employee, member, Subscriber or retiree is the primary plan and the COBRA or state or other federal continuation coverage is the secondary plan. If the other plan does not have this rule, and as a result, the plans do not agree on the order of benefits, this rule is ignored.   • Termination and Post-Termination Continuation of Services If either Party provides Notice of Termination pursuant to Section 6.3 and, by 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the stated date of termination, neither Party has requested negotiation of a new Interconnection agreement, then (a) this Agreement will terminate at 11:59 p.m. Central Time on the termination date identified in the Notice of Termination, and (b) the services and functions being provided by CenturyLink under this Agreement at the time of termination, including Interconnection arrangements and the exchange of Local Traffic, may be terminated by CenturyLink unless the Parties jointly agree to other continuing arrangements.
