Common use of Witness and/or Jury Duty Clause in Contracts

Witness and/or Jury Duty. When a City employee is called for jury duty or is subpoenaed as a witness in a criminal matter, or in a civil matter arising from their City employment, he/she will not suffer any loss of regular City compensation he/she would have earned during such absence. Employees are required to waive the jury/witness fee provided by the court. Employees must either waive the juror/witness compensation or must sign the funds over to the City.
