Common use of Work on Fridays Clause in Contracts

Work on Fridays. The parties will endeavour to ensure that wherever possible normal productive work shall cease at the finish of ordinary hours on Fridays. This does not mean that no productive work can continue past this time and the parties will ensure that a sensible approach to this clause is maintained. That is, work will be able to continue if the work is necessary for the production schedule to be maintained or to ensure that other employees can be productively employed.
