Common use of Work Reduction Days Clause in Contracts

Work Reduction Days. The City agrees to maintain the current practice/policy of using thirteen (13) work reduction days (based on nine (9) holidays, three (3) personal days and one (1) additional work reduction day) and use vacation if necessary to cover all work periods.

A thirteenth work reduction day will be awarded for use on May 1, 2016, and each subsequent year of this contract. In FY2017 only, this 13th work reduction day will be scheduled following ratification of the contract. In future years, it will be picked according Section 9.3(c).
