Work Related. In the event an employee is called under subpoena to testify in any proceedings affecting the District, he/she shall be granted leave with pay less any amounts received as a witness fee. Any amount received as a witness fee, with the exception of mileage, shall be provided to the Business Office within thirty (30) calendar days of the hearing. A copy of the subpoena shall be provided to the employee’s immediate supervisor and the Office of Human Resources and Legal Services in advance of the absence. Upon completion of his/her testimony, the staff shall return to work.
