Common use of Work Retention and Sub-Contracting Clause in Contracts

Work Retention and Sub-Contracting. Where the Company's facilities, space and trained personnel are available, the Company shall endeavour to continue to have all work which is presently performed by employees of the Bargaining Unit, retained and performed by employees of the Bargaining Unit. Where work must be performed by others, the Company shall endeavour wherever possible to have its sub-contract work performed by a union shop.
