Definition of Spouse. The term Spouse includes a spouse under federal law as well as the following:

Definition of Spouse. For the purposes of this Agreement, spouse designates legal spouse, common-law spouse, and same-sex partner of an employee, provided that the relationship between the couple meets the requirements of "common law" relationship as determined by the benefit plan insurers. This definition shall apply to all articles of this Agreement including, but not restricted to, Articles 17.2, 17.3, and 17.4.

Definition of Spouse. For the purposes of the benefits of this Collective Agreement, included are the definitions as per the Human Rights Code of Ontario for spouse and same sex partner provided they have been cohabitating in a conjugal relationship for a six (6) month period.

Definition of Spouse. For the purposes of this collective agreement and attendant benefit plans, the terms "spouse", "wife" and/or "husband" shall mean a person to whom an employee is legally married or a person with whom the employee has lived in a husband and wife manner for a continuous period of at least one year. An employee may not claim to have both a spouse to who he/she is legally married and a spouse with who he is in a common-law relationship.

Definition of Spouse. For Benefits purposes, the definition of "spouse" is the person who: a) Is married to you through a civil union or other legally recognized marriage; or b) Is living common-law with you, and has a child with you, and whom you have designated in writing to SSQ as your spouse; or c) Has been living common-law with you for at least twelve (12) months, and whom you have designated in writing to SSQ as your spouse.
