Common use of Work Through a Meal Period Clause in Contracts

Work Through a Meal Period. Employees who are required to work through their meal period will be paid at the rate of two times the straight time rate for the period so worked. It is understood that an employee is entitled to a meal break no later than five hours after the start of his/her shift.
