If Thruway standard work zone traffic control plans have been included in the contract documents or as part of a work permit, the type and placement of all temporary traffic control devices required for the work zone(s) will be identified. Variables, however, such as vertical and horizontal alignment, proximity of interchanges, sight distance or operational characteristics may necessitate additional channelizing devices (drums, cones, etc.) for longer patterns. No additional payment will be made for these additional devices.
