WORKING FOREPERSON. A Working Foreperson shall not be disciplined by the Union or discriminated against in any way for exercising discretionary duties on behalf of Management or effectively recommending courses of action to Management.

WORKING FOREPERSON. The determination of the number of working Forepersons, if any, is solely the responsibility of the Employer. The Employer's salaried personnel may handle all the dispatching and assignment of duties.
WORKING FOREPERSON. The duties of the Working Foreperson include responsibility to exercise judgment in directing employees, assigning work, reporting to management concerning situations warranting disciplinary action, cooperating, participating in (including testifying) disciplinary proceedings on behalf of management and assessing and enforcing employee compliance with Metro Transit rules, regulations and work standards. If Metro Transit determines that any employee is failing to exercise such responsibility, disciplinary action up to and including demotion or discharge may be imposed. All forepersons are “Working Forepersons” and as such will be required to perform all duties within the skill area for which they are responsible.
WORKING FOREPERSON. Shall be an employee with the qualifications of a Journeyperson Mechanic, and who has been requested to take charge of a job over 3 consecutive days duration where 2 additional Local 787 Journeypersons are employed. On any job where 3 or more Local 787 Journeypersons are employed a Foreperson must be designated and he/she must be a member of Local 787. A Journeyperson Mechanic who has been requested to take charge of a job as Foreperson shall hold the position and pay of a Foreperson for the duration of the job.
WORKING FOREPERSON. As circumstances require, the Corporation may appoint an employee(s) from time to time to act as at Working Foreperson. Premiums as follows:

WORKING FOREPERSON. (A) The crew of a Working Foreperson in all departments covered by this agreement shall consist of not more than five (5) men including the Working Foreperson, except as follows: (1) The pole setting, yard maintenance, right-of-way clearing and Fleet Services Department crews shall not be restricted to five (5) men. WORKING FOREPERSON. The Company may, at its sole option, designate a unit employee as a working foreperson. A working foreperson shall be paid two dollars ($2.00) per hour above his / her regular, straight-time hourly rate for all hours actually worked in such capacity. Under no circumstance shall the foregoing premium be paid to such individual whenever he / she is on vacation, sick leave, holiday, or on any other leave provided under this Agreement.
