Emergency Call Outs. Emergency call out assignments will be made by the Supervisor dependent on the skills required, on a rotational basis. The District agrees to maintain a log of emergency call-outs, which will be open for review at any time.

Emergency Call Outs. This equalization of overtime does not apply to emergency call outs requesting that overtime be worked. A qualified employee who is willing to accept emergency overtime assignment immediately upon notification may ask to be listed as available. The District will not list an employee for emergency call out if the employee has refused overtime work several times, or is not qualified. The District, in assigning emergency call out, will do so as equitably as circumstances permit. 5.1 The District will quarterly provide to the Union a copy of the emergency call-out list, and a tally of time worked.

An "emergency call-out" (“call-out” hereinafter) is a request to report to work on a non-scheduled day or during non- scheduled hours to work an unspecified period of time provided the employee is requested to report to work as soon as possible after receiving the request. (a) Time worked on emergency call-outs on weekdays shall be compensated for at one and one-half times the employee's basic hourly rate; provided that any time which is compensated for at the rate of time and one-half (except Sunday time as covered in Sections 4, 5, 6 and 7 of this Article) shall be credited against any overtime payments required under Article 24. (b) Time worked on emergency call-outs on holidays observed pursuant to Article 30, shall be compensated for at one and one-half times the employee's basic hourly rate for all hours worked up to the number of hours in a normal daily tour for a full-time employee. On such a holiday all time worked on emergency call-outs in excess of a normal daily tour for a full-time employee shall be compensated for at two and one-half times the employee's basic hourly rate; provided that any holiday hours in excess of a normal tour compensated for at two and one-half times the employee's basic hourly rate shall be credited against any hours for which overtime payments are required under Article 24. SECTION 4. For time worked on emergency call-outs between 12 Midnight Saturday and 12 Midnight Sunday, an employee shall be paid at the rate of one and one-half times his basic hourly rate except that such time worked in excess of a normal daily tour for a full-time employee shall be compensated for as daily overtime in accordance with Article 24, Section 2. Emergency Call Outs. 1.8.1. When an employee is called out to work after the overtime period has begun, said employee must be paid for at least four hours unless daytime work begins within two hours of the employee coming to work. 1.8.2. If an employee has worked all day until dinnertime and is called out again after two hours or fewer, said employee shall be paid as if it had been a continuous period.

Emergency Call Outs. 6.02.02.01 An employee called out for work, outside their regular hours of work but not immediately preceding them, shall receive not less than 2 hours at twice their regular rate of pay. Call-outs occurring within 2 hours of each other shall be considered as one call for the purpose of computing minimum pay for an employee called out. 6.02.02.02 In instances of emergency call-out, the call-out shall commence from the time an employee is called at home and shall continue until the time they return home, provided however, that the employee goes directly from home to the worksite and returns directly home on completion of the work. Such travel time shall not exceed ½ hour each way, and shall be included in the minimum call- out time specified in clause 6.02.02, except that should the work continue for more than one hour, it shall be in addition to the actual time worked.
