Common use of Xxxx Handling Policies Clause in Contracts

Xxxx Handling Policies. The Contractor shall have in place documented policies and procedures which are consistent with the requirements of the Contract and which govern the delivery of the Services with respect to: the level of security clearance required by Staff before they can access Agency Data; where Agency Data can be stored; when Agency Data can or cannot be transmitted electronically, by fax or discussed over the telephone; and when Agency Data can or cannot be sent via post or courier. Without prejudice to its obligations under the DPA (and Clause 30), the Contractor shall have clear policies in place which cover, as a minimum, the following principles of the DPA: Personal Data is processed fairly and lawfully; Personal Data is obtained and only used for specified and lawful purposes; Personal Data is adequate, relevant and not excessive; Personal Data is accurate and kept up to date; Personal Data is kept for no longer than is necessary; Personal Data is processed in accordance with the individual’s rights; Personal Data is kept secure; and
