Common use of XXXX Release Time Clause in Contracts

XXXX Release Time. 1. In order to administer this agreement and to facilitate the processing of grievances, the XXXX president, grievance chairperson, and/or building representative will be permitted to leave their building following the dismissal of students. However, this should not interfere with the fulfillment of their professional responsibilities for individual assistance to students or parent conferences. The immediate supervisor shall be notified whenever an employee is going to another school building prior to the conclusion of the contractual workday. 2. Eight (8) days per year shall be granted to elected or designated representatives of XXXX for the purpose of attendance at meetings or participation in the business of professional organizations affiliated with XXXX without cost to the XXXX. The XXXX President shall notify the Superintendent of the days and persons elected or designated as soon as possible but no later than three (3) days before the leave days, except by mutual agreement. Further, the XXXX President may request up to the equivalent of four (4) days of release time, to be used in increments of one-fourth (1/4) day or more, by the President or his/her designee. A request to the Superintendent for such leave shall be made as far in advance as is practicable and shall not be denied on an arbitrary, capricious, or discriminatory basis.
