Xxxxxx and Xxxxxx Development Co a California corporation (the “Original Lessee”), were the parties to that certain lease dated as of April 27, 1959 (the “Lease”), under which Original Lessee leased from Lessor lands commonly known as Stanford Hills, and more particularly described in the Lease as originally executed (the “Subdivision Land”). Pursuant to the Lease, Original Lessee subdivided the Subdivision Land into seventy-eight (78) residential parcels, provided the infrastructure for the subdivision, and improved the Subdivision Land with single-family residences. The Lease allowed the Original Lessee to partially assign the Lease as to each improved parcel, and during the term of the Lease, the leasehold interests in each improved parcel have been transferred to subsequent assignees from time to time.
