Xxxxxxx Mentoring. With the agreement of the Employer, additional union stewards may observe Management scheduled grievance meetings, up to and including step 3, for the purpose of mentoring and training. The Union will provide a written list of the union xxxxxxx(s) to Human Resource Services prior to the meeting. The Employer may approve compensatory time, vacation leave, or leave without pay for the xxxxxxx to attend the meeting. However, employees must use compensatory time prior to their use of vacation leave, unless the use would result in the loss of their vacation leave. At the discretion of the supervisor, an employee may be allowed to adjust their work shift.
