Academy property definition

Academy property means a building or property used for Academy purposes to impart instruction to children or used for functions and events sponsored by the Academy, except a building used primarily for adult education or college extension courses. (MCL750.237a). If a dangerous weapon is found in the possession of a student while the student attends the Academy or an Academy activity the CEO or designee, shall immediately report that finding to the student’s parent or legal guardian and the local law enforcement agency.
