Actual Emission Reductions definition

Actual Emission Reductions means emission reductions which are real, surplus, enforceable, quantifiable and permanent. Actual emission reductions shall be calculated pursuant to Subsection (d)(4) of this rule.
Actual Emission Reductions means a reduction of actual emissions from the stationary source selected for emission offsets, from a baseline which is representative of normal operations approved by the Air Pollution Control Officer. This baseline shall be determined in accordance with Rule 804.E.
Actual Emission Reductions means emission reductions which are real, surplus, enforceable, and quantifiable and may be permanent or temporary in duration. Actual emission reductions shall be calculated pursuant to Subsection (d)(4) of this rule.

More Definitions of Actual Emission Reductions

Actual Emission Reductions means a reduction of actual emissions from the stationary source selected for emission offsets, from a baseline which is representative of normal operations approved by the Air Pollution Control Officer. This baseline shall be determined in accordance with Rule 802.F.2 for nonattainment pollutants and Rule 803.J.2 for attainment pollutants and must be based on the average actual emissions from the three years of operation immediately prior to the submission of the complete application. The Air Pollution Control Officer may approve any other time period of at least three years within five years prior to the date of application, or shorter period as may be applicable in cases where the existing source has not been in operation for three consecutive years, that is more representative of normal source operation.
Actual Emission Reductions means a reduction in actual emissions from an emissions unit selected for emission offsets or banking. Actual emission reductions shall be calculated on a quarterly basis, pursuant to Section d. of this rule, and shall meet the following requirements:

Related to Actual Emission Reductions

  • Emission Reduction Credits or “ERC(s)” means emission reductions that have been authorized by a local air pollution control district pursuant to California Division 26 Air Resources; Health and Safety Code Sections 40709 and 40709.5, whereby such district has established a system by which all reductions in the emission of air contaminants that are to be used to offset certain future increases in the emission of air contaminants shall be banked prior to use to offset future increases in emissions.

  • Actual emissions means the actual rate of emissions in tpy of any regulated pollutant (for fee calculation) emitted from a Part 71 source over the preceding calendar year. Actual emissions shall be calculated using each emissions unit’s actual operating hours, production rates, in-place control equipment, and types of materials processed, stored, or combusted during the preceding calendar year.

  • Projected actual emissions means the maximum annual rate, in tons per year, at which an existing emissions unit is projected to emit a regulated NSR pollutant in any one of the 5 years (12-month period) following the date the unit resumes regular operation after the project, or in any one of the 10 years following that date, if the project involves increasing the emissions unit’s design capacity or its potential to emit that regulated NSR pollutant, and full utilization of the unit would result in a significant emissions increase, or a significant net emissions increase at the major stationary source.

  • Baseline actual emissions means the rate of emissions, in tons per year, of a regulated NSR pollutant, as determined in accordance with paragraphs (i) through (iv) of this definition.

  • Lowest Achievable Emission Rate (LAER) means, for any source, the more stringent rate of emissions based on the following:

  • extended reduction (qualifying contributory benefits means a reduction under this scheme for which a person is eligible in accordance with paragraph 88 or 95;

  • Lowest achievable emission rate (LAER) means for any source, that rate of emissions which reflects the most stringent emission limitation which is contained in the implementation plan of any State for such class or category of source, unless the owner or operator of the proposed source demonstrates that such limitations are not achievable, or the most stringent emission limitation which is achieved in practice by such class or category of source, whichever is more stringent. In no event shall the application of this term permit a proposed new or modified source to emit any pollutant in excess of the amount allowable under applicable New Source Standards of Performance.

  • emission allowance means a financial instrument as defined in point (11) of Section C of Annex I of Directive [new MiFID].

  • Excess emissions - means an emission rate that exceeds any applicable emission limitation or standard allowed by any rule in Sections .0500, .0900, .1200, or .1400 of Subchapter 02D; or by a permit condition; or that exceeds an emission limit established in a permit issued under 15A NCAC 02Q .0700. (Note: Definitions of excess emissions under 02D .1110 and 02D .1111 shall apply where defined by rule.)

  • Excess Elective Deferrals means the amount of Elective Deferrals (as defined below) for a calendar year that the Participant designates to the Plan pursuant to the following procedure. The Participant’s designation: shall be submitted to the Administrator in writing no later than March 1; shall specify the Participant’s Excess Elective Deferrals for the preceding calendar year; and shall be accompanied by the Participant’s written statement that if the Excess Elective Deferrals is not distributed, it will, when added to amounts deferred under other plans or arrangements described in Section 401(k), 408(k) or 403(b) of the Code, exceed the limit imposed on the Participant by Section 402(g) of the Code for the year in which the deferral occurred. Excess Elective Deferrals shall mean those Elective Deferrals that are includible in a Participant's gross income under Section 402(g) of the Code to the extent such Participant's Elective Deferrals for a taxable year exceed the dollar limitation under such Code section.

  • Waste reduction , or “pollution prevention” means the practice of minimizing the generation of waste at the source and, when wastes cannot be prevented, utilizing environmentally sound on-site or off-site reuse and recycling. The term includes equipment or technology modifications, process or procedure modifications, product reformulation or redesign, and raw material substitutions. Waste treatment, control, management, and disposal are not considered pollution prevention, per the definitions under Part 143, Waste Minimization, of the Natural Resources and Environmental Protection Act (NREPA), 1994 PA 451, as amended.

  • Reduced leave schedule means a leave schedule that reduces the usual number of hours per workweek, or hours per workday, of an employee.
